Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 38766008 is Hoover's final filter, the last filtration stage before exhaust air leaves the machine, and it supersedes the earlier Hoover number 43613006.

Parts listings for this number put it on the Hoover FoldAway and FoldAway Widepath uprights and on the Tempo, and one adds the canister models C1703900 and C1705900. Those listings do not agree on exactly where it sits, one placing it below the twin-chamber dirt container rather than at the exhaust, so the reliable check is the filter itself: match this part against the one already in your machine or against the diagram in your owner's manual.

A clogged final filter restricts airflow the same way a clogged bag or dust cup does. If suction has faded and every earlier filter is already clean, this is the next place to look.

Change it once it looks gray or feels stiff rather than waiting for suction to fail outright, since by that point dust has been getting past it for a while.
