Hoover Foam Filter - BH5001...

$6.99

Product details

The foam filter for Hoover's cordless stick vacuums, part 410044001. It fits the BH50010 Linx and the BH50020, the SH20030 stick vacuum, the CH20110, and the Royal ER20000.

On a cordless machine this filter matters more than it would on a corded one. There is no reserve of power to force air through a clogged element, so a loaded foam filter shows up straight away as a vacuum that sounds like it is trying hard and picks up nothing, with run time that seems to have halved.

Foam is meant to be maintained rather than left alone. Rinse it under a tap, squeeze it out, and let it dry completely, a day rather than an hour, before it goes back in, because a damp filter in a stick vacuum starts to smell within a week. Replace it once the foam tears at the edges or stays permanently grey.
