Product details
Lower hose clip for Hoover WindTunnel Air uprights, part 522340001. It fits the UH70400, UH70401, UH70402, UH70402TV, UH70403PC, UH70404 and UH70405.
The clip anchors the lower hose to the body so it keeps its routing and stays pushed home at the fitting. When it breaks, and it is a small plastic part on a machine that gets reclined and dragged constantly, the hose starts shifting under load. It works loose at the connection, opens a leak that takes the edge off floor pickup, and rubs where it should not be rubbing.
It is a two-minute fix that people put off for months. While the hose is unclipped, flex it and look for splits at the ends before you clip the new one into place.
