Hoover Male Connector - U51...

Product details

Part 93001700 is the male connector used in the Hoover U5183 Fusion bagless upright - the plug half of the inline joint that carries power up through the machine.

Connectors in an upright live in the worst place for them: inside a handle that pivots, next to a loom that flexes every time the machine is lowered to the floor. The pins loosen in the housing, the shell cracks where it is retained, and contact turns intermittent. What you see is a vacuum that cuts out when the handle moves, or a brush motor that will not come on while the suction motor runs perfectly.

Watch the pin orientation as you fit it. The housing is keyed, and forcing it round the wrong way will bend the pins before it ever seats properly.
