Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 28166001 is a replacement on/off power switch for Hoover upright vacuums. The switch sits in the main power path to the motor, so when it fails the vacuum may not start, may cut out mid-clean, or may keep running after you try to shut it off.

It is listed for the Hoover C1660 and U5260 uprights. A power switch is a simple part with internal contacts that wear from repeated on and off cycles, and once those contacts pit or stop making cleanly, the symptoms above tend to show up intermittently for a while before the switch quits for good.
