The Hoover rear wheel lock ring secures the rear wheel to its axle on Hoover Convertible uprights, including models 1030, U4125, and U4313. This OEM ring snaps into the axle groove and stops the wheel from sliding off during use.
Over years of rolling, a lock ring can fatigue, spread, or pop loose, which lets the rear wheel wobble or detach and drop the base out of level. Fitting a fresh ring holds the wheel firmly on the axle so the vacuum tracks straight and rolls without drag.
