Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 91001034 is the receptacle and wiring harness assembly on the Hoover U8171900 upright, carrying power from the cord receptacle to the motor and switches inside the body.

Electrical faults on an upright trace back to the wiring more often than owners expect, since wiring flexes with every use while the motor itself does not. Heat and repeated movement over years can crack insulation or work a connector loose, and either one shows up the same way: the vacuum will not power on at all, or it cuts in and out unpredictably. A frayed or heat-damaged harness is also a real safety concern on a corded appliance, so it is not a repair worth putting off once you have spotted the damage. The receptacle end takes extra wear on any upright, since it is the point where the machine's internal wiring meets a cord that gets coiled, uncoiled, and flexed at that same joint every time the vacuum is put away and taken back out. That repeated flexing right at the connection point is a common place for a harness to fail first.

Installing the new assembly restores a sound electrical path through the machine, and it lets you keep using a vacuum whose motor and mechanical parts are otherwise in good working order.
