We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. The solution tank cap on a Hoover FH54010 does more than keep fluid in the tank; it seals the tank so the pump can draw from it properly. This replacement is part 440014275.
Caps are removed and refitted every time the tank is filled, so the threads wear and the gasket takes a compression set. A cap that no longer seals lets air into the system, and an air-fed pump sprays in bursts or trickles when it should be laying an even wet line. The other giveaway is solution weeping around the neck and running down the machine while it is carried.
This cap fits the Hoover FH54010. Hand-tighten it fully after each fill and keep the sealing face clean, since a strand of carpet fibre across the gasket is enough to break the seal.
