Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

This switch pedal assembly, part 93001601, is the foot-operated on/off control on the Hoover S3590 and SH30010 canisters.
On a canister you start and stop the machine with your foot, dozens of times a session, and the pedal takes every one of those. It cracks across the face, the pivot wears until the pedal rocks without pressing anything, or the return under it gives up so the pedal stays down. A broken pedal also leaves the switch beneath it open to the dust the machine is moving around, which is how a mechanical fault turns into an electrical one.
The assembly replaces the pedal complete rather than in pieces, so there is nothing to align. Work it a few times before you close the housing, to be sure it clicks in and out cleanly and the machine answers each press.
