Strong pickup on the carpet with weak pull through the hose is a specific complaint with a specific cause. Air is escaping between the two, and on an Indigo-trim FELIX Premium the first place to look is the short moulded passage behind the hose connection. Part 7090DB is that passage in dark blue.
The duct is the sealed link that carries air from the machine's own hose into the body, and it forms part of the airway rather than sitting alongside it. Split a seam or warp a mating face and the motor simply takes the easiest air available, which is room air pulled in through the break rather than dirt drawn through the tools. Nothing looks wrong from outside while that is happening, and the bag stays suspiciously clean, so the fault gets blamed on a tired motor for months before anyone opens the machine.
