Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part ZZ3801 is the cord-reel assembly that auto-retracts the power cord on a Johnny Vac Reflex canister vacuum. Engaging the machine's rewind control releases a spring inside the reel that pulls the cord back into the canister body.

Cord reels are one of the higher-wear parts on a canister vacuum because they cycle every time the vacuum is put away. Over time the spring weakens, the internal contacts that carry power through the reel wear down, and the cord may stop retracting fully, hang loose, or the vacuum may cut out when the cord is partly wound.

Installation is a direct swap into the existing reel housing. Johnny Vac fits a different cord winder to each of its canister lines rather than one shared reel, so match ZZ3801 against the reel currently in your machine before ordering. If the reel only feels stiff or squeaks partway through its travel, a light lubricant on the pivot points can sometimes buy time, but a reel that has stopped pulling the cord in at all, or has lost power at the connection, needs the full assembly replaced rather than repaired.
