This small replacement carbon motor brush (Part #118067S) is sized for the early Kirby 505 through D80 series of upright vacuums. Carbon brushes are the contact point that delivers electrical current from the power supply into the spinning motor armature. Because they constantly grind against the commutator, they wear out and eventually need replacing — symptoms include weak suction, visible sparking, or a motor that hesitates and stalls.
