This is the genuine Kirby rear wheel axle, the steel shaft that the rear wheels rotate on, supporting the back of the vacuum and allowing it to roll smoothly across floors. Over years of use the axle can wear, bend, or seize, causing wheel wobble, dragging, or difficulty maneuvering the machine.
This axle fits the Kirby Heritage and Legend series uprights. Replacing a worn rear axle restores easy rolling, proper wheel alignment, and the correct ride height at the back of the cleaner (Part #102080S).
