This is the genuine Kirby rear motor bearing, the sealed ball bearing that supports the rear end of the motor armature shaft inside Kirby upright vacuum cleaners. A worn rear motor bearing is a leading cause of motor whine, grinding, vibration, and overheating, so replacing it during a motor rebuild restores smooth, quiet running and protects the armature and brushes.
This bearing fits the long-running Kirby model lineage from the Heritage generation through the Sentria, making it a core part for technicians servicing classic and later Kirby motors. It is installed pressed onto the rear of the armature shaft and seated into the rear motor housing (Part #115573).
