Brand-new Lamb Ametek 116296 central vacuum motor (SKU 202A) — a 220-240 volt, two-stage replacement motor used in a range of central vacuum power units. This is a genuine Ametek-built Lamb original, never rebuilt. Your existing motor may be stamped 6296 or 11-6296, and this part also installs in place of the 116296-00.

Typical service life is 900-1,200 hours. Replace the motor when you notice breaker trips, an electrical odor, heavy sparking at the motor top, or a unit that shuts itself off and runs again later. The carbon motor brushes are serviceable (two required per motor) if you prefer to maintain it before failure. Installation involves a few bracket screws and wire connections. Direct replacement for the 116296 motor only.
