Deep-clean work is where the green pad earns its place on an LW52 Flexy. Part 184700081 supplies two hard-abrasive pads, one for each drive plate, at about 0.2 kg apiece, and the same pad also serves the LW44 Flexy.
Hard is the coarsest of the three grades Lindhaus lists for these machines, and it is meant to be used sparingly: for lifting soil that has been walked into a floor over months, for cutting back scuffing, and for the periodic reset a maintenance schedule is built around. Run as a weekly pad it takes more off a finish than the floor needs.
Judge a pad by the floor behind it rather than by how the pad looks. Abrasive material glazes over as it packs with residue, and a glazed pad polishes where it used to cut, so a pass that comes back streaky or flat is the signal to fit the fresh pair. Keep both plates carrying pads of the same age so the machine cuts evenly across its width.
Pads mount on Lindhaus pad drivers, which are ordered separately from the pads themselves. Keep the spares stacked flat and dry until they go on, and away from loose grit, which embeds in a pad face and comes back out on the next floor.
