Fit All Locking Button with...

Product details

This is the locking button and spring set used on 1-1/4 inch locking wands and curved end fittings, ordered as part 32-1911-03. The button rides on the spring so it snaps into a wand's locking hole when a tool is pushed on, and the spring's job is to keep it seated there rather than sitting proud where it can be knocked back in by everyday handling.

Once the spring loses tension or the button itself wears round at the edges, the lock no longer holds and a tool that should stay attached slips loose mid-task. Because the button and spring work as a pair, a spring weakened enough to let the button retreat under light pressure is usually why a wand feels loose even though the tube itself is straight and undamaged. A button whose edges have worn down can fail to catch squarely for a different reason, and it feels much the same in the hand, which is why the two parts are sold and replaced together.

  • Part number: 32-1911-03
  • Supplied: button and spring together
  • Fits: 1-1/4 inch locking-style wands and curved end tools
  • Function: holds a tool locked onto the wand until the button is pressed to release it
  • Before ordering: confirm your wand uses a locking rather than friction-fit coupling, since this button has no function on a friction-fit joint

Sold as the button and spring together so the pair goes in fresh rather than mixing a new button with a tired spring.
