Product details
Vibration is what loosens a fastener, and a locking washer is what argues with it. Part 141 is the SEBO locking washer used on the X1, X2, X4 and X5 uprights, on the ET-C power head, and on the 370 ELECTRONIC and the DUO. It is supplied one at a time, so order the count your repair actually calls for rather than a pack you will not finish.
The washer sits under a screw head or against a shoulder and keeps tension in the joint long after the driver has come off. That stored spring is what holds a fastening still against the constant buzz of a suction motor and a turning brush roller. Once the washer has flattened it stops biting, and whatever it holds — an axle, a screw, a bracket — gives up a fraction of a turn with every pass across the carpet until something is visibly loose.
Fit a fresh one when you find a screw finger-tight that you know was torqued down, when a wheel or roller axle has picked up side play, or when a panel keeps rattling however often you go back to it. Any washer that comes out already squashed flat has done its work and should not go back in, so it is worth renewing every one you disturb while the machine is open.
