The MD lid latch (SKU 867) secures the lid on MD Manufacturing central vacuum power units that cannot be mounted perfectly upright. In a standard vertical installation, gravity and the vacuum seal keep the lid seated — but when a unit has to sit tilted, such as in a crawl space installation, the lid needs mechanical help to stay put. This latch clamps the lid down so it stays sealed against the canister regardless of the mounting angle.
