Trovac Metal Mounting Plate...

Product details

TF5565BV is a metal mounting plate and flange for central vacuum pipe, used to anchor and terminate a metal pipe run at an inlet or junction box. The flange squares off the end of the tubing, and the plate behind it screws to the wall framing so the connection is carried by the mount rather than left hanging on the pipe alone.

  • Part: TF5565BV
  • Material: metal
  • Function: pipe mounting plate and termination flange

Trovac catalogues it under installation materials for inlets, valves and dustpans rather than with the pipe itself, alongside the rest of the wall-side hardware. Confirm the pipe diameter and mounting depth on your own installation before ordering, since central vacuum systems run more than one pipe standard and a plate sized for the wrong diameter will not seat flush against the wall.

A loose or cracked mounting flange is a common source of a whistling air leak at a wall inlet or junction, since the flange is what seals the termination point rather than the pipe itself, and a small gap there can cost noticeable suction at the far end of the system. Retighten the mounting screws evenly around the plate rather than fully driving one side before the other, which can crack the flange or leave it sitting slightly off square.
