Product details

Part TFM1190V is a 45-degree elbow made for the metal-pipe side of a central vacuum installation, where suction tubing runs in rigid metal rather than PVC. The 45-degree angle changes the direction of a metal run without a sharp corner, which keeps the bend gradual enough for airflow and any debris in transit to keep moving through the turn.

  • Bend: 45-degree turn
  • Build: rigid metal, not PVC
  • Use: gradual directional change on a metal central vacuum run

Metal central vacuum tubing is joined with an adhesive made for metal-to-metal pipe bonding rather than the solvent-weld cement used on PVC runs, so confirm you have the correct bonding compound before starting a metal-pipe section. Metal and PVC central vacuum fittings are not interchangeable at a joint, so check which material the rest of your run uses first.

Dry-fit the elbow against the adjoining metal pipe before applying adhesive, since a bonded metal joint cannot be repositioned once it sets. Installers often choose metal pipe for an exposed run in a garage or utility space, where its impact resistance holds up better than PVC, or simply to extend an existing metal system rather than switch materials partway through a run.

Order part TFM1190V for each 45-degree turn a metal run needs. Verified against: Trovac catalogue listing for the 45-degree metal pipe elbow
