Shipping Information

Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The genuine Miele Active AirClean filter SF-AA 30, part 12718090, is a charcoal exhaust filter that neutralizes odors as your Miele vacuum runs. Behind the standard fine-dust filtration, an activated-charcoal layer adsorbs smells from pet accidents, smoke, and cooking that ordinary filters simply pass through — making it the right choice for homes with pets or sensitive noses.

This filter is part of Miele's AirClean sealed system, which captures more than 99.9% of fine dust before air returns to the room. A built-in TimeStrip indicator gradually fills with a red line over roughly one year of use, so you always know when a replacement is due. Part 12718090 is also catalogued under reference 09616080 and replaces the earlier 09338520.
