Returns & Exchanges

This genuine Miele connection socket (also called the neck or elbow knuckle), part number 5811990, is the swiveling joint that links the powerhead body to the telescopic wand on a Miele electro-brush floor tool. It is the pivoting elbow you tilt and steer the head with, and it carries the electrical contacts that pass power from the wand down into the brushroll motor.

Over years of use this socket is one of the highest-wear points on a power nozzle: the joint can crack, go loose, or lose its electrical connection, which leaves the brushroll dead even though the vacuum still pulls suction. Replacing the worn socket with this original component restores firm steering and a reliable power feed without buying a whole new powerhead.
