This carbon brush (SKU TMCARB0-) is a replacement motor brush for 120V AMETEK central vacuum motors. The brush rides on the motor commutator to deliver current to the armature, and it gradually wears down as the motor runs.

When brushes wear too short, a motor may spark, lose power or stop starting. New brushes restore steady current flow and help a serviceable motor last longer. It suits AMETEK motors such as the assembled 122747-27 bypass unit.
