This OEM carbon brush is designed for Ametek Lamb 240-volt, 7.2-inch vacuum motors, including motor 119894-04, and is sold individually. It presses on the commutator to carry current into the armature and wears down steadily as a service part.
When the carbon runs short, the motor may spark, lose suction, run intermittently, or give off a burning smell. Fitting a fresh brush restores steady contact and keeps the 240-volt motor pulling at full power.
