Ametek Lamb's 116212-00 is a two-stage bypass motor in the 5.7-inch frame, running on 120 volts with double ball bearings and peripheral discharge. The published figures are 90.1 inches of sealed vacuum, 106.8 CFM of airflow, 322 maximum air watts, 8.8 amps and 19,392 RPM.

Bypass construction keeps the cooling air separate from the dirty airstream, which is why this layout is chosen for central vacuum and wet pickup work where the working air is not fit to pass over the windings.

Replace the motor when suction has fallen off, the unit has turned noisy, there is a burning smell in the exhaust, or it will not start. Confirm the number on your existing motor and match the discharge type, since peripheral and tangential motors are not interchangeable in the same housing. Disconnect power before servicing.
