Returns & Exchanges

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Part 122167-00 is a complete Ametek Lamb motor assembly built for the Hoover GUV utility vacuum: single-stage, 4.3 inches across the fan housing, wound for 120 volts, in a thru-flow configuration.

A thru-flow motor pulls its cooling air straight from the same stream the vacuum is drawing in, which keeps it compact but means anything that restricts that airflow, a full bag, a clogged filter, a pinched hose, runs the motor hotter every time the machine is used that way, not only on the day the bag finally gets changed.

Signs worth watching for: suction that stays weak even right after a bag and filter change, a bearing note that has shifted toward a rumble or grind, a motor that cuts out mid-run, or a scorched smell after a few minutes of use. Any of those points at the motor rather than something upstream of it.

Since this ships as a full assembly rather than a bare motor, there is no separate fan or shroud to transfer over from the old unit. Compare the height, mounting and discharge of the motor being removed against this one before ordering, since frame diameter on its own is not enough to confirm a match, and disconnect the vacuum from power before opening the housing.
