This padded Nadair hose sock slips over a standard central vacuum hose up to 30 feet long and zips shut end to end, wrapping the hose in a padded gray cover. It is sized for 30-foot hoses; a sock built for a shorter length will not reach the full run, and one built for a longer hose will bunch up rather than lie flat.
A bare crushproof hose is still a hard plastic surface, and dragging it across baseboards, door frames, and furniture legs during routine cleaning leaves scuff marks over time, especially in hallways and stairwells where the hose repeatedly brushes the same spots. The padding on this sock absorbs that contact before it reaches the wall, and the full-length zipper keeps the cover from sliding or bunching as the hose is pulled through a room.
