The Riccar R10P SupraLite's top shell ships in Fire Red as D220-2425, covering the brush chamber and taking the brunt of impact whenever the machine gets carried room to room or up a flight of stairs.

Because the R10P is meant to be lifted rather than parked, this cosmetic shell often cracks well before anything else on the machine shows wear, since it is what takes the impact when the machine gets set down or bumped against a step. Fitting a fresh shell brings the head back to a tight, square clamp, whereas a broken one keeps flapping against the brush roll with every rotation until it is swapped out.
