The Nutone Inlet Mounting Bracket with Screws is a central vacuum installation fitting for the Nutone 0618, holding a wall inlet firmly in place on standard 2-inch central vacuum pipe. It comes with its mounting screws, so the bracket goes in without a separate trip for hardware.
Solid mounting matters more in a central vacuum system than most homeowners realize. Every time a hose is plugged in or pulled out, the inlet takes a push or a tug, and a poorly anchored inlet eventually loosens into an air leak that reduces suction at every outlet on the line. Cementing fittings with PVC cement and anchoring them with the proper bracket keeps the whole pipe network airtight.
