Returns & Exchanges

This fan kit for the Oreck UK30300 lightweight upright packages the fan and its seating washer as one part number. Fitting a new fan onto an old washer that has worn scored or gone slightly dished is a common way to leave the new fan sitting a hair off its seat, so part 09-79066-01 covers both pieces and removes that guesswork.

Fans on a lightweight upright like this one see harder use than on machines with more filtration ahead of the motor, since little stands between the floor nozzle and the impeller blades. Anything solid that makes it up the intake reaches the blades directly, and a chipped blade announces itself through vibration, a change in the motor's running pitch, and falling suction even though nothing visibly blocks the airflow.

Disconnect the power cord before opening the housing, and orient the washer the same way the original sat so the new fan seats flush. Even a slightly crooked seating shows up the moment the machine powers back on, so it pays to double-check the fit before closing the housing. Keeping the fan and washer together as one kit also means the washer never becomes the piece that gets overlooked until the housing is already closed back up.
