We offer free standard shipping on eligible orders of $100 or more within the 48 contiguous United States. Eligibility is calculated on the merchandise subtotal after discounts and before tax.

Returns & Exchanges

We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.

Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Product details

The white circular felt seal that closes the fan intake joint on Oreck's XL and U-series bagged uprights is small and inexpensive, easy to skip during a repair, and part 430000885 is the direct replacement. Positioned right at the fan intake, it sits across the path every bit of airflow crosses on its way toward the bag.

Once this felt flattens under compression, tears along an edge, or gets left out after an earlier repair, air finds a shortcut around the intended seal instead of passing through it. Suction drops as a result, and dust that should be traveling straight into the bag on a bagged model instead circulates loosely around the gap. Nothing about the failure is dramatic; the machine simply performs a little worse each time it runs.

Because this seal is used across a wide span of Oreck's XL and U-series lineup, fitting a fresh one is worth doing as routine practice whenever a compatible machine's fan or motor housing is already open, rather than waiting until a specific complaint sends you looking for it.
