Product details
Part 89.855 is the paper bag inlet fitting Carpet Pro lists against the CPU-1T. It is the connector on the machine that a paper bag's collar attaches to when a bag is installed, and Carpet Pro carries the same fitting across the CPU and CMP upright lines: CMP3N, CMP3QD, CMP3T, CPU1QD, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N and CPU4T. Clean Max lists it as the CMPSQD, Fuller Brush lists it across the FBHD1, FBHD1T, FBMMPWCF4, FBPHD2 and FBPHD2T, and Titan lists it on the T4000, T4000.2, TC6000 and TC6000.2.
This fitting is handled at every bag change, and over time that use cracks or chips it where the bag attaches. Once that happens, the seal between the bag and the inlet is no longer tight, and dust that should stay in the bag works past the joint instead. The signs to watch for are a bag that will not stay seated, a dusty smell from the machine even with a fresh bag fitted, or dust visible around the bag mount rather than at the exhaust.
