6009DG is the dark gray moulding on the flank of a SEBO C1.1, C2.1 or C3.1 that accepts the hook on the back of the floor nozzle, so the tool rides with the machine when it is carried, set down or pulled between rooms.
Failure creeps up on this part. The jaws of the catch spread by a fraction each year until the hook begins to slide out unaided, and eventually the nozzle will not stay put at all. It then swings loose against the shell, leaving marks on the canister and on whatever furniture it passes. A holder that has been loaded with the tube still attached often shows a stress line at the root of the catch, and that line is the signal to change it rather than wait for the tool to drop mid-job. A new moulding restores the original grip.
There are two parking positions on these canisters and they are used in turn, so they age at roughly the same rate. The rear point takes its own moulding, 6008DG, and a machine that has worn one has usually tired the other. The two are not interchangeable, so quote the number for the position you want rather than describing where the nozzle hangs.
Nothing about fitting one is difficult, and no tools are required beyond what it takes to reach the mounting. What matters more is buying the right position: the side and rear holders are different mouldings that will not substitute for one another.
