Hoover Circuit Board Main -...

Product details

This is the main circuit board for the Hoover FH50220 carpet cleaner, part 440003876. It is the board the machine's switching and control run through, and it is the part to consider once the obvious causes of a dead or erratic cleaner have been ruled out.

Board faults are frustrating precisely because they are inconsistent. The machine works, then does not, then works again after being left alone, or it powers up but ignores one of its controls. Before replacing it, unplug the cleaner and check that every connector on the board is clean, dry and fully seated. Solution and damp both find their way into a carpet machine, and a corroded connector imitates a failed board convincingly.

The board is listed for the Hoover FH50220. Keep the machine unplugged throughout, and photograph the connector positions before you pull any of them.
