Pedal Handle Release - Ricc...

Product details

Order part B020-1314B when the foot pedal on a Riccar 7700 upright has given up. Step on it and the handle unlocks from upright so the machine can recline and go flat under a bed, a couch or a desk; let it up and the handle latches again for storage.

It is worked with a shoe, every time, which is why it is one of the first plastic parts to fail on a machine that is otherwise fine. Some break outright and the handle stays locked upright. Others wear at the latch until the handle drops on its own halfway through a room, or refuses to stand back up while you are trying to park it.

Fitting a new pedal gives the handle back its full range and a definite click at each end. It is an inexpensive repair on a vacuum worth keeping.
