Product details

Molded in black plastic, part B352-6000 is the tapered 1-1/2 in. cuff fitted to backpack vacuum hoses, shaped so the narrow end wedges into the wand or tool fitting and grips by friction, no clamp or fastener involved.

We do not have specific machine listings for this cuff on file beyond its 1-1/2 in. tapered fit, so match it to the cuff you are replacing rather than a particular model name.

A cuff absorbs real punishment on a backpack rig, stepped on, dropped, and wrenched off the wand over and over across a shift, and once the fitting splits or wears round, the wand starts falling off mid job at the worst possible moment. A new cuff costs a fraction of a full hose replacement, provided the rest of the hose is still supple and sound. Backpack hoses themselves are expensive relative to the small fittings on either end, which is exactly why manufacturers make the cuffs replaceable in the first place. A hose that is otherwise supple and free of kinks or splits along its length has plenty of service life left once a worn cuff is the only complaint against it. Twisting rather than pulling straight when disconnecting the wand from the hose reduces the stress that rounds out a cuff's grip over time, a small habit that stretches the working life of both the cuff and the hose it is attached to.

  • Part: hose cuff, B352-6000
  • Size: 1-1/2 in., tapered end

  • Symptom if worn: wand connection slips or falls off during use
  • Install: press-fits onto the hose end; replace when the taper no longer grips
