C171HD is Powr-Flite's 17 in. Classic floor machine, running a 1.5 hp motor at 175 RPM. Powr-Flite gives the assembly and test location as Fort Worth, Texas.
The drive is an all-steel triple planetary transmission under an all-metal housing, with an all-chrome 1.5 in. handle tube. Two 4 in. non-marking wheels let the machine be rolled between jobs without leaving marks on the floor it is about to work on, and a heavy duty metal cord strain relief with a lock nut and spring backs up the power cord connection, the kind of detail that keeps a cord from working loose after being coiled and uncoiled job after job.
The power cord itself runs 50 ft. of 14/3 SJTW-A cable, which is enough reach to cover a large room from a single outlet without a cord splice sitting in the work area.
