This genuine ProTeam compression cord wrap spring (Part #104269) fits the ProForce 1500 HEPA and also fits the ProCare 15XP. It sits behind the cord wrap, where it is compressed each time the cord is stowed, and keeps tension on the assembly so the wrap holds the coiled cord firmly.
A weak or broken spring lets the cord wrap lose its grip, so the coiled cord slips loose during storage and transport. Springs fatigue with repeated compression over time. A fresh genuine spring restores firm tension and a secure cord wrap.
