ProTeam Release Button Spri...

Product details
Every time someone presses the release button on a ProTeam ProForce upright, a small spring is what pulls it back out again afterward. Part 104233 replaces that spring, and it ships as a two-pack because these components have a well-earned reputation for disappearing mid-repair.
Once the spring loses tension or gets lost during disassembly, the button no longer returns to its resting position on its own. It stays pressed in, the catch underneath fails to fully re-engage, and whatever the button was meant to hold starts sitting loose or dropping free under ordinary handling. None of that means anything else on the machine is wrong; it is almost always this one small spring.
These springs are small enough that a parts drawer easily loses track of them between repairs, which is why many shops standardize on ordering the two-pack even when only one spring has actually failed, keeping a working spare on hand for the next machine that comes through the door.
Fits the ProTeam 1200XP and 1500XP, their ProForce 1200XP and 1500XP counterparts, and the ProForce 1500 HEPA. Open the button housing slowly and keep a hand cupped near it, since these springs sit under real tension and tend to launch the instant they clear the housing.
