The XP1500 bottom plate is the panel that closes off the underside of the nozzle on ProTeam's XP1500 family, and part 104221 is the direct replacement when that panel cracks or warps.
Multiple shifts a day is normal duty for these machines, and the plate absorbs the physical wear that comes with it: rolling over saddles, catching the lip of a floor mat, bumping a raised threshold. Cracks generally begin at the screw bosses that anchor the plate to the housing and travel outward from there once they start. A cracked plate breaks the seal the nozzle depends on, drawing air in through the gap rather than through the intended opening, and the loss in suction at the floor can be significant even with everything else on the machine working normally.
Because the XP1500 platform covers several nameplates over the years, some technicians find it faster to identify the correct plate by the mounting boss pattern rather than by the model badge alone, especially on machines that have been reconditioned or relabeled during their service life.
Fits the ProTeam 1500XP, ProForce 1500, ProForce 1500XP, and ProForce 1500 HEPA. This is a comparatively quick repair on these uprights, and a new plate brings back the flat, sealed underside the nozzle needs to hold suction.
