The upright brush retainer (part #104499, 2 pack) is a genuine OEM part that holds the brush roll in position on ProTeam ProForce upright power nozzles. The retainer caps the brush roll end and keeps it seated against the drive.
A cracked or worn retainer lets the brush roll drift or drop, so the bristles lose carpet contact and the belt can slip off track. Installing fresh retainers locks the brush roll back in place for full agitation.
