The cap's built-in dauber applies cement directly to the pipe and socket surfaces, so no separate brush or applicator is needed on a quick call, and there is nothing extra to clean or store between jobs beyond sealing the can.
It works on 2-inch central vacuum tubing and standard PVC pipe of the same class.
