Hide A Hose cuts its Rapid Flex hose to 50 feet as part HS402155P, one of the longer options in the line and suited to a valve placed to cover more than one room. The hose runs bare inside the wall tubing, since the Rapid Flex nylon is scratch resistant and takes no hose sock.
Dropping the sock is not only a convenience. It leaves room for a larger tubing diameter, which is where the 20 to 30 percent airflow gain over the sock hoses comes from, and it removes the part that used to wear out first on a retractable hose.
The mini cuff at the end is the blue 1-3/8 inch HS5000H5, which tools connect to directly and which also stops the hose at the right point as it draws back into the valve.
