ReadiVac RS1000 Eaze Vacuum...

$8.99

Product details

The Eaze drives its brush roll through a geared belt rather than a plain rubber loop, and part RS1000-P011 is the replacement. It fits the ReadiVac RS1000 and RS1030 Eaze.

A geared belt does not stretch the way a flat belt does, because the teeth either engage or they do not. What fails instead is the teeth themselves, stripped when the roller jams on a shoelace or a rug fringe and something has to give. The symptom is abrupt rather than gradual: the brush roll simply stops turning, usually after a second or two of chattering.

Clear whatever caused the jam before fitting the new belt, and turn the roller by hand to check it spins freely. Skip that and the fresh belt will strip on the first pass exactly as the old one did.
