This Riccar and Simplicity Base Plate, part B015-2014, is a replacement bottom plate for Supralite and Freedom series uprights as well as the CleanMax ZM-200. The bottom plate forms the suction seal between the nozzle and the floor, and a cracked or worn plate lets air leak in exactly where the vacuum needs it least.
If your lightweight upright suddenly seems weak on carpet, inspect this plate before assuming a motor problem. Replacing it restores proper floor contact and full pickup.
