Simplicity and Riccar R10E Ultra Lightweight Power Switch

Part A028-0014 is the power switch for the Riccar Ultra Lightweight F3300, and the same switch is listed for the Simplicity R10E and the Riccar R10E. It is a mechanical contact rather than an electronic one, so it wears with use in a way the motor does not.

A worn switch shows up as power that comes and goes while you clean, a machine that will not start at all, or one that shuts off mid-pass and then works again a moment later.
