The safety switch actuator rod (Part #120381A) is a replacement rod for the Kirby 1HD Heritage, supplied as a 2-pack and cross-referenced to Kirby 9620. The rod transfers movement to the safety switch, so the vacuum powers on and off correctly as the control is operated.
A worn or broken actuator rod can leave the switch unresponsive or the vacuum running intermittently, since the rod no longer reaches the switch cleanly. Fitting a fresh rod restores reliable, safe on-off control.
