Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Built by Eureka, the Sanitaire SC899F pairs a 16-inch cleaning path with wide-track engineering, several inches wider than the 12-inch machines that make up most of the Sanitaire commercial line. That extra width exists for one reason: covering large, open carpeted floors in fewer passes, the kind of square footage found in convention centers, big-box retail, and hotel ballrooms.
A 7-amp motor drives the wider head, which asks more of the machine per pass than a narrower upright does. On truly open floors that tradeoff pays off in reduced cleaning time, since each stroke of the vacuum covers meaningfully more carpet. In tighter commercial spaces with a lot of furniture, doorways, or under-desk cleaning, the extra width can work against you, and a 12-inch model in the Sanitaire lineup would maneuver more easily.
Collection is handled by an 18-quart shake-out cloth bag rather than disposable liners, the same reusable system Sanitaire runs across its Tradition series, so there are no bags to restock over the machine's life. A 50-foot cord matches the machine's purpose, letting a crew work an entire open floor section from a single outlet before moving on.
Facilities that mix large open areas with tighter corridors sometimes keep two cleaning path widths on hand rather than standardizing on one, using the SC899F's 16-inch head for ballrooms and showroom floors and a narrower Sanitaire model for hallways and offices.
