Product details
A 3.2 bore puts this washer under M3 hardware rather than the M4 screws that take the larger 4.3 size, and getting the two mixed up is the usual reason a washer will not drop over the shank. Part 0143 is the DIN 125 flat washer in the smaller bore, sold one at a time, for the AUTOMATIC X and ESSENTIAL G uprights.
DIN 125 is the plain-washer standard: a flat annular ring with no spring, no shoulder and no locking feature, sized by its inner diameter. Its job is unglamorous. It hands the screw a smooth bearing face, spreads the clamping load over a wider footprint than the head alone, and keeps that head from biting into moulded plastic or chewing round the edge of a slotted hole. Leave one out during reassembly and the fastener slowly sinks into the boss, tension bleeds out of the joint, and whatever it was holding starts to move.
Reach for a genuine SEBO flat washer when a cover is no longer sitting flush, when the plastic under a screw head has gone shiny and dished, or when a washer has vanished into the machine during a strip-down. One thing worth checking before ordering: a washer that will not pass over its screw is almost always a bore mismatch rather than a bent part.
